mapbox – open source Zoomable jQuery Map Plugin

Mapbox is an Zoomable jQuery Map Plugin that allow you to create relatively small scale, zoomable, draggable maps with multiple layers of content. It has ability to center the map on any given point, zoom in or out, zoom to any particular level, and move in any direction.

All these functions may also be accomplished either by dragging the map or with the mouse wheel in conjunction with the mouse wheel plugin. The plugin is specially designed for games, development plans, or any layout that could benefit from being able to zoom in and pan to get a better view.

Mapbox is usually used like this:
$(viewport).mapbox({mousewheel: true});
